Each month I host a free 'Journaling for well-being' workshop. It's 30 minutes of support and inspiration for your journaling practice. We focus on two techniques:
1 - Wild writing, a free-style journaling method.
2 - Utilising guided prompts around a particular theme.
The theme for the session was 'Reconnect to Well-Being'.
"You can not pour from an empty cup"
January is a time of year when many of us turn to our health and well-being. We may set new goals, or re-visit old ones. It's tempting to jump on the latest fad or to do what others tell us we should do. These prompts are designed to help you go inwards and focus on what you want and need.
Try these prompts to deeply reflect on your own well-being, your relationship with it and make commitments that are attuned with this new-found knowledge:
How are you feeling today about your well-being?
In what ways are you holding yourself back in relation to your well-being?
If your body could talk, what would it tell you it needs?
If your mind could talk, what would it tell you it needs?
What have you done for yourself recently that felt really good?
In 2023, I would like to have more…
In 2023, I would like to have less…
I know I’m really attuned to my well-being when…
What aspect of self-care would make the greatest, most positive impact on your life?
Imagine you had prioritised that for the next 6 months, how would that feel?
If you could make one small change to your daily routine, what would it be?
How can you stay focused on prioritising yourself and steer clear of distractions?
Name something you like about yourself.
If you find these prompts useful, why not come along to one of my free journaling workshops which take place monthly throughout the year - the details can be found here. Alternatively, you can download my free journaling toolkit to get your started.
