My belief is that we could all benefit from a time and space to think and this is what many people come to coaching for.
Time to think....it is the source of power
For me, I was drawn to coaching when I felt lost in myself, a bit stuck, and was questioning my identity. I should have been happy, I had no reason not to be, but I felt something was missing and after trying as many different tools, books, and following advice from others, I realised I didn’t know how to move forward by myself. Working 1-2-1 regularly with a coach enabled me to create a deeper awareness and understanding of myself, who I was, my strengths and experience and what I deemed as success.
Others may be drawn to coaching for similar personal reasons; to develop confidence or overcome imposter syndrome, to learn about themselves on a deeper level or to work out a path forward. Coaching also enables people to navigate a transition in life or in their career (career choice, progression or career change for example), or helps them focus on creating and striving towards a specific goal. People who want to improve performance also benefit from coaching - whether that be personally or professionally.
We all have stuff we need to work through. We all deserve to be listened to. We all need precious time to think.
